The Play & Talk Resource Pack is a set of 20 Play & Talk Activity Cards designed to build children’s communication and speech skills through simple, engaging play activities. Each activity uses minimal or no resources and includes clear adaptations for children with SEND. Selected activities are paired with aided language displays and symbol supports, all included within your pack.

Play is a powerful foundation for language and communication development, giving children natural opportunities to explore, imitate, problem-solve and connect with others while building vocabulary and early conversation skills. Through play, children practise expressing ideas, sharing attention, taking turns and using words or gestures to communicate their needs.

Every card follows the same clear Aim, Act and Adjust structure, so adults know what the activity is building, exactly what to do, and how to adapt it if a child needs more support.
