About Us
Regulate to Communicate was created by Ellie, an Occupational Therapist, and Sophie, a Speech and Language Therapist, after years of working side-by-side with children who had complex sensory and communication needs in school settings.

Meet Ellie & Sophie

Ellie brings years of hands-on experience supporting children's sensory regulation in school settings.
Sophie specialises in communication-rich strategies that help every child engage and connect.
Our Story
Over time, we saw something powerful: when we supported sensory regulation and communication together, children's outcomes improved dramatically, not just in learning, but in confidence, connection, and wellbeing.
Our approach grew organically from this shared practice. We combined core principles from OT and SALT to write a therapeutic, classroom-ready model that helps children feel safe, regulated, and ready to engage. Although it was designed to meet the needs of the most complex learners, schools quickly discovered that it benefits every child. Today, Regulate to Communicate offers a simple, inclusive blueprint that strengthens whole-class practice and transforms the learning environment for all.
